Extreme Gravity
By Fabricio Estevam Mira
There are those moments that are just yours, and in them, the denial of privacy should be considered a crime. Certain hygiene habits. Hiding a body. Paraphilias. Eating the cat's food to see if it really tastes like salmon. A completely personal thing that concerns no one else. And perhaps one of the most sacred is when you decide to take your own life because you can't stand being the waste of expectations that you are. But how would your reaction be if, at that corner for a definitive end, a strange butt appeared unexpectedly in your window? And that's what happens in Extreme Gravity, a dark humor short film by Lorenzo Ayuso. It's approximately six minutes long, which feel like two, with only one location, the good performance of actor Álvaro Márquez, sharp dialogue, and a naked person and their butt, balancing to avoid falling off the building. Fast. Well executed. Fun and capable of addressing themes such as depression, hypocrisy, loneliness, and bad luck in this short period, making you realize that even in the darkest phases, a hairy ass can be your light at the end of the tunnel.
